This 2013, the Book Fair will take place from April, 25th to May, 13th in La Rural. As every year, the Book Fair, in this 39th edition, invites all those who are passionate about books, so they can find a place where to interact and promote literature and open their minds.
The “International Book Fair 2013” (Feria Internacional del Libro) in La Rural, in Buenos Aires, offers all its guests different activities for them to do: for teachers, there will be talks related to education and how the books may work as bridges, the progress of technology in the classroom, among other activities; for schools, there will be guided tours, talks and interactive activities. Moreover, all those who want to participate in the 39th edition of the International Book Fair in La Rural will enjoy having book signings, courses (this year there will be 7 different courses), a space for narration and book reading, a special micro-fiction day, the international Poetry Festival, among other activities.
This 2013, the Invited City of Honour is Amsterdam. Due to this, in the “Pabellon Amarillo” (Yellow Pavilion) of La Rural you will find the “Amsterdam Café”, were the Dutch culture and literature will be promoted (thanks to the organization of the Letterenfonds foundation). Here, you will find many books written by the best Dutch writers, and you will also find many interesting expositions.
This 2013, the motto of the International Book Fair is “the books as bridges”, so lecture will be motivated from that point, and experts will try to show how books of all kind may connect worlds, classrooms, people, and more…
The International Book Fair in La Rural this 2013 will be open from Monday to Thursday from 2.00pm to 9.00pm, on Fridays from 2.00pm to 10.00pm, on Saturdays from 1.00pm to 10.00pm, on Sundays and on Wednesday May, 1st from 1.00pm to 9.00pm. On the opening day of the International Book Fair, April, 25th, you may visit the Fair from 6.00pm to 9.00pm.
The price of the tickets to the International Book Fair 2013 is of $20 pesos from Monday to Thursday (except on May, 1st), and of $30 pesos on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
