Café de los Angelitos was created in 1890 and rapidly became the favorite meeting place of poets, musicians and payadores (folk singers) who used to share tables with pimps, swindlers and thugs. In 1920, the place received its current name, inspired in the popular nickname the district police commissioner used to ironically call the latter group (“little angels”). Conserving its original bohemian charm, the traditional corner of Rivadavia and Rincón presents every night one of the greatest tango shows in Buenos Aires.
Café de los Angelitos offers the perfect combination of exquisite food and tango show. The menu includes both local and international dishes and the best selection of Argentine wines. For dessert, the audience is served an extraordinary tango show, into which two singers, ten dancers and a ladies orchestra pour all their talent.
An excellent opportunity to relive the history of tango in a traditional bar in Buenos Aires.
