The city of Buenos Aires offers many options for the tourists, and you may find that you need more days to visit it than you thought. In this tour guide, we try to show you the main activities and places in Buenos Aires.

Museums in the city

The city of Buenos Aires has a wide variety of historic and cultural museums placed in different neighborhoods.
Among the more emblematic ones, we find: “Museo de Arte Latinoamericano de Buenos Aires” (MALBA), “Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes” (MNBA), “Museo de Arte moderno de Buenos Aires” (MAMBA), “Museo Evita” and “Museo Quinquela Martín”.

Gastronomic tourism

One of the main attractions for tourists in Buenos Aires is the gastronomic offer. Of course, the Argentinian meat and wine are the highlighted items, and that’s why the specialized restaurants are a big attraction. You can find them in many neighborhoods, but the favorites are in San Telmo, La Boca, Palermo Viejo, Palermo Hollywood, Chacarita, the downtown and Puerto Madero.

Nevertheless, the gastronomic offer grew terribly during the last decade, and we find restaurants from every culture. We find the classic pizzerias, but we can also find sushi places, Italian, French, Mexican, Japanese and Chinese food and fusion cuisine like the Peruvian-Japanese food.

Shopping

Another main attraction in Buenos Aires is the amount and quality of the sales. Among the favorite malls, we find Alto Palermo, Paseo Alcorta, Recoleta Mall, Galerías Pacífico, Solar de la Abadía, Abasto Shopping and Dot Baires.

There are also many different tours for shopping like Cabildo Avenue, Santa Fé Avenue, Florida Avenue and Palermo Soho. You will also find a lot of outlet shops in very specific places of the city dedicated to them. One of the most famous is the “Luxury Outlet The Palace”, close to the racetrack in Palermo.

Shows

Buenos Aires is famous because of the enormous amount of high quality shows you find. There are hundreds of theaters in the city; among them we find the Colón Theatre, the General San Martín Theatre and the Nacional Cervantes Theatre. Buenos Aires is the main cultural capital in Latin America and it is among the best cultural capitals in the world.

In Corrientes avenue you will find the main theatres and shows. But there are many other places in the city, busy every weekend, that offer the same show for years, and all of them are very successful.
