TAXES
A list of the taxes on real estate according to laws in force Buenos Aires is provided below:

* Property Tax:
In Argentina, owners pay taxes on any property, including real estate. Since no reminder is sent, the owner is the sole responsible for paying this annual tax (approximately, 0.75% of the total property price). If the owner does not pay this tax, he will have problems when selling the property, since it is impossible to sell a property with unpaid taxes. Furthermore, he must pay a fine for not paying this tax in due time. It is recommended to consult an accountant about this personal tax.

* Stamp Tax:
In Argentina, those property owners that own a single family home valued at less than $360,000 Argentine pesos must not pay this tax. However, if the property value exceeds the aforementioned amount or the property is not his first property in Argentina, he must pay the Stamp Tax (2.5% of the total price).

* Neighborhood Maintenance Tax (called “ABL” in Argentina):
This is a tax levied by the local government to maintain the area in which the property is located. The amount paid depends on the price, location and size of the property.
