Buenos Aires: A Love and Treason Tour

We always talk about our patriots with an air of solemnity, thinking they were perfect and never did something wrong. However, in order to show that they are also “only human beings”, this tour covers all the places in Buenos Aires where prohibited love relationships took place.

The bus leaves from 1200 Av. de Mayo (only one block away from 9 de Julio Av.) and covers San Telmo, Monserrat, San Nicolás and Retiro neighborhoods, while the tour guide tells the different stories of love, treason and unacknowledged paternity of Argentine patriots, such as José de San Martín and Remedios de Escalada, Manuel Belgrano and María Josefa Ezcurra, Bernardino Rivadavia and Juana Del Pino, Santiago de Liniers and Ana Perichón, Mariano Moreno and María Guadalupe Cuenca, Camila O´Gorman and Ladislao Gutiérrez, among others.

The bus, accompanied by the tour guide’s narrations, stops at the different places or houses where these Argentine history characters used to go or live. Thus, it is a totally transgressive proposal, since it uncovers the true story of these people immortalized in Argentina’s memory. Besides, during the tour, tourists may get to know a little more Argentine history and see the wonderful mansions that are distributed in Buenos Aires.
